The Gitzo GM2542 Series 2 Monopod is a slim, ultra lightweight, 4 section, carbon fibre monopod built for the ultimate portability and stability. Its Carbon eXact tubing maximises strength, keeping weight to an absolute minimum. The GM2542 is a professional solution that securely supports an impressive 30kg load, yet weighs a feather light 510grams.
The G-Lock Ultra system makes the tubing even stronger by rigidly connecting the leg sections, protecting joints from moisture and dirt. The monopod reaches a height of 164cm and features a handy, reversible 1/4" and 3/8" mounting thread for attaching various types of cameras, lenses and heads. It folds down to just 54cm and is easy to pack or strap to a backpack for day and overnight hikes.
The GM2542’s base features an innovative rubber foot with a pivoting ball-joint for smooth movement that is perfect for capturing moving subjects. The foot can be removed when necessary and replaced with optional feet or metal spikes. The monopod also features Gitzo's signature ergonomic hand grip and a removable wrist strap for increased security.
