The batteries slide in very easily, keeping them in place, even when upside down. The smart designed cut outs in the casing make it very easy to slide the batteries out again. 

While storing the batteries inside the Tri-Charge Air3, you might as well take the opportunity to charge all 3 batteries at once. Just plug-in the included USB-C cable and the charging begins. The 4 orange LED's per battery slot inform you very accurately about the level of charge of each separate battery. At any given time you can check the charge level per battery by just pressing the button on the side, even when not charging the batteries. 

The Jupio Tri-Charge Air3 has another party trick up its sleeve. When 1 or more charged batteries are inserted, you can use the Air3 as a powerbank!
