Explore Your Wideness!
The Samyang 20mm F1.8 UMC II Canon EF Full Frame Camera Lens has a wide angle manual focus for DSLR cameras with full frame sensor size. The flow of light is devised based on the uniqueness of the distance from glass to sensor in mirrorless cameras to create optimal performance.
The bright F1.8 aperture secures a fast shutter speed even under restricted lighting conditions to offer the best quality images. It will brighten up your everyday snapshots. Also it creates an outstanding out-of-focus look by highlighting the main object effectively. In between ultra-wide 16mm and wide-standard 24mm, 20mm lens is a perfect fit to explore wide angles not only for shooting indoor images such as concerts and interior photos but also street snaps. The 0.2m of minimum focusing adds versatility to the lens.
Based on Samyang Optics’ exceptional optical technology, Ultra Multi Coating and two aspherical lenses and three extra-low dispersion have been included among 13 glasses in 12 groups to minimise aberration and unnecessary light dispersion, delivering high resolution from the centre to the corners of the image.
Great customer service and prompt resolution.By: Keith MahoneyI ordered the Samyang 20mm f1.8 to use on my Canon EOS_R as it was an ideal focal length for Astrophotography. Unfortunately as it was a total manual lens so I had to program the Canon to "shoot without a lens", which rendered the EF-RF control ring adapator inoperable. As this was a big issue to the way I adjust ISO externally on the lens, I contacted Glen at Maxxum Vic to see if I was able to swap the lens for a AE version. The response was fantastic and after a few discussions with Glen and his NSW representative Luke, I was able to return and then purchase a 35mm f1.4 AE version as a 20mm or 24mm AE lens was not in Samyang's Product line. Big Thanks to Glen and especially Luke for taking the time to diagnose the problem and pick up the 20mm f1.8 lens for credit.
